Anthony will look at the problems in having a head of state (king) crowned by the Anglican Church of which he is also the head, while the country he purports to represent is largely non religious. In a modern society should heredity and/or religion have any involvement in the appointment of the head of state?
Anthony Matthew is a former chair of Leicester Secular Society.
